Hey Leute
Hab' heute bemerkt, dass mein Cygwin nicht mehr erwartungsgemäss läuft und wende mich daher an euch! =)
Und zwar erscheint beim starten die Fehlermeldung:
"bash: regtool: command not found"
Das ist aber noch nicht alles. Gebe ich beispielsweise 'ls' ein, kommt überhaupt keine Ausgabe, sondern es erscheint einfach eine neue Eingabeaufforderung, wie wenn ich 'Enter' gedrückt hätte. Genauso bei 'man' und einigen anderen Befehlen.
Möchte ich globales Reinstall machen, erscheint ganz an Schluss die Fehlermeldung: bash.exe - Unable to locate component ->
"This application has failed to start because cygwin1.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
Nur: cygwin1.dll befindet sich unter c:\cygwin\bin, also weiss ich nicht, warum er diese nicht finden kann?
Ich habe bereits versucht, mittels reinstall die wichtigen Komponenten neu zu installieren, leider hat dies alles nichts genützt!
Unglücklicherweise habe ich noch anderen Applikationen, die von der Installation von Cygwin abhängig sind, wie diverse IDE's (Eclipse) mit den ganzen Compilern etc.!
Hat jemand ne Idee, wie ich das am besten und saubersten wieder hinkrieg? Wie kann Cygwin total neu installieren? Einfach den Ordner, unter welchem ich Cygwin installiert hab löschen, oder sind da bei der Installtion noch Einträge in der Registry gemacht worden etc. oder ist wirklich alles unter diesem einen Ordner (bei mir c:\cygwin).

Seit ich ein Programm namens PDFMerge testeshalber installiert hab, funzt in Cygwin so ziemlich nix mehr!
Dies ist ein Command-Line tool, was, soviel ich sehen kann, auf Cygwin aufbaut...jedenfalls sind im Verzeichnis /bin einige cygwin-spezifische Dateien.

Es scheint mir so, als ob durch das Ausführen dieses Programms die cygwin1.dll und andere Dateien überschrieben wurden. Da dachte ich mir einfach, ich könnte diesen Ordner löschen und cygwin-base nochmals installieren. *Komischerweise* wird bei diesem Schritt der *vorher gelöschte* Ordner vom Cygwin-Setup wiederhergestellt und Verlinkungen werden wohl darauf gemacht.
Auch wenn ich die von Cygwin angelegten Installationsordner lösche und das ganze wiederhole, wird dieser Ordner 'PDFMerge' wieder hergestellt, aus welchen Gründen auch immer.
Hat jetzt vielleicht jemand ne Idee, was ich noch machen könnte?
