keine updates bei ubuntu

hi,
mal ne blöde frage ... ich fahre ubuntu 7.10, ich habs jetzt seid 2 oder 3 wochen wieder aufm notebook und seidher sagt er mir dass es keine updates gibt. repos hab ich alle aktiviert bis auf die von canonical und die backports:

Hmmm ... läd er beim Update die Paketlisten neu runter? Vergleich die doch mal per Hand (diff) mit der, der die auf dem Server angeboten werden ...

Wenn ein

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

nichts findet, gibt es wohl auch keine.

hm, die neuen packetlisten holt er schon, dass es keine updates geben soll kann ich nich glauben ... ahm, meine uhr ?

Das mit der Uhr war nur eine Idee, falls er die Paketlisten nicht aktualisiert ...

Na dann such Dir mal ein Paket, was nicht auf dem letzten Stand ist ... vielleicht welche aus dem "update" Bereich ... und dann schau mal, was

apt-cache policy <paket>

ausspuckt ...

es gibt ja auch net jeden tag updates
nach der installation hat er doch bestimmt erst mal ne ganze menge updates installiert oder?

hm, die packete scheinen laut apt schon auf dem neuesten stand zu sein.
dass es nich jeden tag updates gibt ist mir auch klar, aber in 2-3 wochen nicht ein update, das kommt mir dann schon etwas merkwürdig vor ...
