Also die pap-secrets ist richtig aufgesetzt?

Und was kommt jetzt nicht mehr? Ich denke mal, es kommt immer noch ein Authentication failure.

Ich habe dazu noch ein Paar Vorschläge:
Gibt es eine chap-secrets Datei? Diese sollte die gleiche Informationen beinhalten wie die pap-secrets Datei (glaube ich). -> Es kann sein, dass dein Provider nur die chap authentifizierung unterstützt ...

Dann kannst du dir die /etc/ppp/options anschauen.
Ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass man mit den
lcp-echo-interval 30
lcp-echo-failure 4
Optionen herumspielen kann. Vor allem mit dem ersten Wert!

Kann sein, dass mein ISP nur CHAP unterstützt

Ja klar, da steht das gleiche wie in der pap-secrets
Außerdem mußte ich meinen kernel neu-kompilieren, weil X das so wollte
Und da hab ich auch das IPTables-Modul gleich mitinstalliert
Jetzt "route del default" und dann "pppoe-start"...
Da passiert immer noch das gleiche: nichts....

OK, MTS, Alles klar jetzt funzt es (wieder!!!) Eigentlich musste ich diesen Thread gar nicht aufmachen, aber jetzt habe ich es doch getan!
(Im BLFS-buch stand alles........)
