ich benutzte auch immer den "update-service" hatt auch ne zeitlang das durchaus faire abo

Vorteil von ISO's, naja, man hat was in der Hand, wenn man die ISO auf eine CD brennt.
Kaufen is aber viel besser

ich finde das die suse-zusammenstellung schon ihr geld wert sind definitiv!
ABER,
würde sich nicht jeder von uns freuen wenn es wirklich ISO's von suse gäbe?

so jetzt hat jeder klarheit über diese angelegenheit:

As promised earlier, SUSE LINUX has opened its entire 9.1 directory tree for free download and installation via FTP/HTTP: "SUSE offers the possibility to install SUSE LINUX free of charge directly from the FTP server. The function scope of FTP versions is virtually the same as that of the 'normal' version. Merely a few program packages have been excluded due to license reasons. The installation support is not included either." More information about installing SUSE LINUX via FTP can be found on this page. Download the boot image from one of SUSE's mirrors or try here: boot.iso (23.2MB). Then burn the image to a CD, boot from it, and follow the instructions. As always, have a lot of fun :-)

Miesmacher ! Mal im Ernst - ich bin froh eine günstige Alternative (14,95 ,- €) gefunden zu haben anstatt die Updateversion v. SUSE kaufen zu müssen.

hallo los andros,

ich habe auch nur isdn, von daher kommt mir das iso schon gelegen.
allerdings ich hab mir die dvd auch bestellt, reingelegt, gebootet, installiert .... ein traum.
es haben halt net alle flat oder bekommen dsl.
