Wlan will nicht selbst starten

Hallo, mein Laptop mit Ubuntu8.04 hat folgendes Problem:
Nach einem Systemstart ist offensichtlich der Wlankram nicht vollständig geladen (wlan_tkip). Nach einem "networking restart" gehts dann ohne weiteres Zutun. Seht angehangen die Deltas im "lsmod" vor "networking restart", dann "networking restart" und lsmod nach "networking restart":
root@toshi:~# lsmod | grep wlan
wlan_scan_sta 14720 1
wlan 207728 4 wlan_scan_sta,ath_rate_sample,ath_pci

root@toshi:~# /etc/init.d/networking restart
